Brand Developers, trading as the TV Shop, is Australasia's
biggest Direct Retail Television Company selling quality products
through TV advertising. They are seeking a highly qualified Online
Editor and After Effects Editor who will be responsible for
assembling video content from various sources and finishing a
quality product suitable for broadcasting.
The material you would work with may consist of raw camera
footage, or material coming from overseas to be re-edited, adding
graphics and special effects. From 30s Spots through to 1/2 hr
programmes this is a key role in our post-production process and
the editor's skill can determine the quality and delivery of the
final product.
The process of work will involve:
receiving a brief, and maybe an outline of footage and/or a shot
list, script.
re-ordering and tweaking the content to ensure the logical
sequencing and smooth running of the film/video.
at times consulting with a director, producer and/or client
throughout the post-production process;
experimenting with styles and techniques including the design of
graphic elements;
selecting the most effective shot of a scene in terms of drama,
story relevance or continuity;
