Manukau University's Faculty of Creative Arts is looking for a
Dean. The Faculty offers a wide range of courses and training in
the areas of Performing Arts, Creative Writing and Visual Arts.
Industry engagement is a critical component of its curriculum.
The Dean of the Faculty of Creative Arts reports to the
Director, Academic Operations. The Dean is charged with providing
academic leadership to staff and students together with the
responsibility of managing the resources required to ensure success
for all stakeholders. The Dean is a member of the Deans' forum, a
body of peers, providing significant input into the management of
the Institute. As Dean, the successful applicant will also develop
industry partnerships and non-base revenue streams.
To be successful as Dean, the candidate will have professional
skills and qualifications in the field of creative arts. A deep
commitment to leading a commercially-oriented faculty, which
develops and prepares students for exciting careers in the creative
art, is essential.
